La Terapia Fisica (Physical Therapy)

Here are two of the little ones I get work with. There are nine kids I have evaluated so far, six of them are under a year. In an earlier post I sent pictures of the infant stimulation room I use for therapy. It is a nice space with a mat I can use to work with the kids on the floor. The toys that we brought down to use with the infants have been a blessing to use in my sessions with the babies. Thank you for your support which has allowed us to work with the children here and serve at the home. Thank you also for your continued prayers, they are a blessing to us.

Dinoco!

This morning I was able to capture our friend the elusive Dinoco Gecko so we could share a picture of him with all of you.

Disclaimer: No geckos were hurt in the process of taking this photograph. Dinoco has been compensated for his assistance with a safe return home and a diet of delicious insects.

Another Pet!

We have another friend living on the overhang of the cabin next to ours. We haven’t really made a formal introduction. We just tend to give him his space and let him take care of a few bugs. From what I can find searching on the internet he is a Golden Orb Spider. His body is about one and a half inches long.

Next is a picture of the front of our home, it is difficult to get a good picture from the front because there are several tangerine trees directly in front of the cabin. In the picture there are two cabins with an open area covered by a roof between the two. You can see the tables and chairs in the open area. This is where we would typically eat our meals when we were here in the past with a large team. Since there are just the four of us we eat in the cabin. We are in cabina dos, the second cabin, it is on the right side of the picture.

It was raining so Eliana and Elijah wanted to stick their feet out into the rain.

Our New Pet!

Kris caught a new friend in our bathroom this afternoon. We kept it in a jar until Elijah could wake up from his nap and see it. We explained to the kids that he was only a temporary pet so we have already released him to do bug patrol outside our cabin.

We have another smaller gecko in our cabin as well. He is only about 2″ long, tail and all. The kids love trying to spot him on the window or couch at the front of the cabin. Eliana has named him Dinoco (think The Cars movie). He is very fast and we have not caught him, but we haven’t really tried too hard since we figure he eats the bugs.
